From October 21st to 23rd, 2024, the LIFE Welcome meetings took place in Brussels, featuring various thematic sessions addressing environmental impact and sustainability initiatives. On October 22nd, the LIFE CHANDELIER project had the honor of participating in the Climate Action group sessions, represented by the Aragon Food and Nutrition Cluster in its role as project coordinator.
Our ambassadors, Paloma Moya Arranz (LIFE CHANDELIER Coordinator) and Selene Pedrós (Project Manager), attended over two days, presenting and advocating for the project’s mission while connecting with other projects and relevant stakeholders.
In the sessions, LIFE CHANDELIER was assigned to the M1 working group focused on CCM-Transportation and Renewable Energy, moderated effectively by Stefan Niederhafner from ELMEN. We were also supported by facilitators Krzysztof Wójcik and Sergi Costa (from CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency), the latter also being the LIFE CHANDELIER Project Advisor.

Among the projects within this working group, we had the opportunity to listen to our colleagues’ presentations and discuss relevant topics with them. Some of the featured projects included:
Life Moonset: Implementing a nocturnal, eco-friendly, and integrated shared transportation concept.
LIFE GREENH2ORN: Green hydrogen mobility for the transition to climate neutrality.
LIFEeHDV: Pilot program to develop a network of charging infrastructure for heavy electric vehicles in the CEE region.
LIFE MERLIN: Maximizing biogas production with advanced technologies to increase resource availability and digital tools for enhanced efficiency.
The day concluded with a lunch and an inspiring networking session, from which we expect to develop new synergies and opportunities for innovative projects in favor of a more sustainable future.
