LIFE CHANDELIER Showcased at the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE 2026)
From 19 to 22 May 2026, the LIFE CHANDELIER project took part in the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE 2026), held in The Hague, the Netherlands. Recognised as one of Europe’s leading events on biomass, the circular bioeconomy and renewable energy solutions, the conference brings together researchers, industry representatives, technology developers and public institutions committed to advancing biofuels, biomethane and industrial decarbonisation.
LIFE CHANDELIER was represented by project partner Eurecat, which presented the initiative during a session dedicated to industrial projects focused on sustainable innovation based on biomass and the principles of the circular bioeconomy.
The presentation, delivered by María del Pilar González, highlighted the project’s approach to producing vehicle-grade biomethane from lignocellulosic agri-food waste generated in rural areas. It also showcased the project’s contribution to renewable energy production, waste valorisation and the decarbonisation of the transport sector.
One of the highlights of the conference was the recognition received by LIFE CHANDELIER during the closing session, where the project was awarded the Best Visual Presentation Award in the Industrial Projects category. The award recognised the quality of the project’s visual presentation and represents an important endorsement of the consortium’s work, further raising LIFE CHANDELIER’s profile within the European bioeconomy and renewable energy community.
Participating in EUBCE 2026 also provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen the project’s international outreach, promoting knowledge exchange with experts, companies and organisations working on innovative solutions based on biomass, biomethane and the circular economy.
LIFE CHANDELIER’s presence at the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition 2026 reinforces the project’s commitment to innovation, knowledge transfer and the promotion of sustainable solutions that support Europe’s energy transition and the development of a circular bioeconomy.
