On October 1st and 2nd, Valladolid hosted a new edition of the Renewable Gas Fair, the leading professional event in the sector, organized by the Spanish Biomass Association (AVEBIOM) and the Spanish Biogas Association (AEBIG). In parallel, the 18th International Bioenergy Congress was also held, making the city the national hub for biogas and biomethane.
Within this framework, LIFE CHANDELIER was represented by Genia Bioenergy, the project’s technological partner, who actively contributed by sharing knowledge and experience on sustainable biomethane production.
During the event, Paz Gómez, Innovation Coordinator at Genia Bioenergy, delivered the presentation “Circular production of biomethane in rural areas from agri-food waste”, presenting the LIFE CHANDELIER success story as an example of circular economy applied to rural territories.
In addition, Ana Fernández, R&D Project Manager at Genia, joined José Antonio García Serrano in the podcast “Conversations for the Future of Energy”, discussing the challenges and opportunities of biogas and biomethane in the ongoing energy transition.
Through its participation in this key industry event, LIFE CHANDELIER reinforces its commitment to bioenergy and the valorisation of agri-food waste as a pathway toward a cleaner, more circular and sustainable energy model.
