The MainstreamBIO Project is an initiative funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme, aiming to integrate small-scale bioeconomy solutions into the regular practices of rural areas across Europe. To achieve this, the project establishes Multi-Actor Innovation Platforms (MIPs) in seven EU countries: the Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Bulgaria, Spain, and Ireland. These platforms aim to enhance cooperation among key rural stakeholders to co-create sustainable business models aligned with regional potential and current policies.
