Esta energ\u00eda es crucial en la lucha contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico porque puede reemplazar los combustibles f\u00f3siles y reducir las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero. Una de las formas m\u00e1s prometedoras de aprovechar la biomasa es a trav\u00e9s de la transformaci\u00f3n de los residuos org\u00e1nicos en biog\u00e1s.<\/p><p>El proceso de conversi\u00f3n de residuos org\u00e1nicos en biog\u00e1s se lleva a cabo mediante un proceso llamado digesti\u00f3n anaer\u00f3bica, que ocurre en ausencia de ox\u00edgeno. Este proceso es impulsado por microorganismos que descomponen la materia org\u00e1nica en compuestos m\u00e1s simples, produciendo principalmente metano (CH4) y di\u00f3xido de carbono (CO2). El metano es el principal componente del biog\u00e1s y es un gas combustible, lo que lo hace \u00fatil para la generaci\u00f3n de
